A journey that started with a single step — rooted in the belief that if women are given the right support, they don’t just change their lives, they change entire communities. On 4th July 2025, Sangini Saheli completed five years of this belief, this mission, and this movement.

What truly made the day special was the people who came together to celebrate it — from the ground-level women who built the foundation of this initiative to the dignitaries who supported and amplified its vision.

We were honoured by the presence of Shri Baijayant Panda ji,  National Vice President of BJP and Member of Parliament, shared thoughtful reflections that connected policy with grassroots work. Su. Bansuri Swaraj ji, Member of Parliament from New Delhi, added her warmth and strength to the gathering. Shri Ananya Goenka ji, founder of Udaan Trust and former Vice Chairperson of Indian Express, brought in the voice of youth-led changemaking and media advocacy. Dr. Neerja Bhatla ji, Padma Shri awardee and one of India’s foremost gynaecologists, spoke powerfully about the health challenges women face — and the importance of community-led solutions. Celebrated actor Hrishitaa Bhatt ji ji also lent their presence and longstanding support to the Sangini cause.
